So far so good ya ....

Today is my 5th day of fasting and it's going on really well. I wanted to go on a full fast but I can't last long in this weather. I believe am not use to it. So am doing meals fast. I am taking lunch and having liquid other times. It's just wonderful... I realised I have so many needs and learning to depend on the Almighty to lay it down for me.

Where it all started ....

" I am fearfully and wonderfully made." And I thank God each day for my parents. They are indeed God's gift to me. Wonderful, loving mom and dad. Such a blessing to have them in my life...they are in my prayers everyday and I pray that they will come to know the Lord and I claim health and peace over their lives as man and wife. And that they will be able to see their children's children. Smooch....Love you both always.

Some of the special girl friends I have, God's gift to me!

My best pal... she is a journalist.Wonderful writer and we have been through much together. Gosh, look at the food on the table... I must be hungry.

The people you see here are really really special to me... in many ways they are my family. God is good, HE gave me so many special people to love and they love me in return unconditionally!

That's the other princess... She is in Singapore, workoholic to a certain extend... I miss her so much! I want to be there for her...Just so you know, her name is Sarah...lovely gal :)

This is daddy's 1st princess...Dad is a fantastic badminton player and swimmer. When my father was younger (not that long ago), he was very handsome. I must get his photos and post it here too ;p

Snow Storm

This was really really early in the morning ... ok it's not that early, it's about 8am. It was snowing the night before... apparently London will only get snow once in every 5 to 7 years. AMAZING ya :) The snow is fresh and puffy enough to make a couple of snow balls before you turn into an ice block. Too bad its not thick enough to make snow angel ;p

Take a peek

Peek a boo.... it's beautiful ya! Look at all the snow ... WOW... WOW...I can stare at this photo for a long long time.

Reluctant to go

This is the front balcony view. We start our day slow when it's snowing. Usually really lazy to go out, it can be worse than rain. Unfortunately, I have to go for my temp work today :p

Yes ? No ?

Should I go out, should I not...too cold la .... errrr... aiya

Foot Prints

Fresh snow... enough to make ice kacang with fruits, cendol, popsicles and ice blended for everyone. This is 2 floors down from our unit. The reason I took this was because I thought it will be nice to have my foot prints on it...but its too cold and too early to venture and try out "Calvin and Hobbes" silly stuffs.

Let it snow...

Mind you ... it's still snowing :p

Morning View

First thing I see when I wake up, there is a pond in the park. Will get a better picture during clearer day :) Am still rubbing my eyes when I took this picture. Am not even out of my duvet yet :)

Michelle poppins

The weather should be -3 and still snowing. It gets warmer during the day and by midday it will be 1 to 3 degree celcius. Beautiful ya :)

Beauty Contest

LET ME REMIND YOU - This is not a beauty contest so please do not look at my sleepy face! I popped out of bed, grabbed my camera and fleece blanket and headed out to the balcony. Too early to be thinking about the makeup (those of you who know me well, I don't even use them to begin with) and thick warm clothes. It's freezing cold standing there, NO JOKE :) It all happened so fast, so I could be dreaming still :)

Snow ball... POW

That's exactly what I did about 30 minutes ago. It was snowing and there was at least an inch thick of snow outside the balcony and I just decided to be Calvin for once :) It's really fresh snow and it's just awesome and I really needed the FUN! Splat... another snow ball at my face!

Winter in Afghan (Feb 2005)

You will be seeing a series of photos taken in Afghan. It was a project that the Church was involved in. This time my role was just to pray for them and with them. It's such a joy to see these photos...thanks to that special person who sent this to me. Continue to pray for this country and that God will open doors for seed to be sown. "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be witnesses to ME in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth." Acts 1:8

I love this man and the view is just breath taking ... God is AWESOME!

It's too cold for him...but I like his hair style :)

I LOVE CHILDREN

Will you please pray for these children. They are beautiful. "Let the little children come to ME, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Matt 19:14

Look at what they were wearing ... it's not enough to keep them warm during the piercing cold winter. This was an exciting moment and such a joy to be able to give to this wonderful ministry.

This is my spiritual father - Pastor Henry, giving out the winter clothing to the people in Afghan. It's my pleasure to pray for this man everyday.

Adventure Girls

Adventure girls... this was my class and the girls are growing up really fast...OH my...I miss serving in the Royal Rangers ... HELP !

Overflowing Blessings

Pots and more pots...God's blessing will pour forth till it's overflowing. " May the Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous than you are and bless you as HE has promised you!" Deuteronomy 1:11

Need

I just LOVE this poster! Can't really explained but I was attracted to it really :)

Bookworm Haven

It's just BOOKS everywhere...some of the books are as old as 100 years old!

Majestic library I have ever seen

This the resouces centre / library in the museum... literally hundreds and thousands of books in there. I can't go too near to take pix... it's the house rules. Indeed a bookworm haven.

Soar on Eagle Wings

Solid wood carvings ... I just love it. I should have stand next to the eagle. It's taller than me..."But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

History anyone ?

This is some really serious history and you have school children going for the historic tour, art students trying to draw the artifacts, masks, statues, all kinds....

Create echo with that space

I just went "WOW...." The space inside the museum was just so BIG, I mean BIG really BIG...

It's just beautiful and I would love to go back there and took more pictures. It's just too cold and I can't be out in the open for long.

British Museum

British Museum - one of the icon in Central London. Must visit and it's free admission! I am such a freebie freak but am not complaining.

Reminds me of Moulin Rouge

It looks nice during the day too ... but at night the lights just lure you to it. They have designer stuff in there and would you believe this... I have not been in there. Didn't want to go in as I don't want to spend the pounds. I reckon it must be expensive...

HARRODS, who ?

This is the most talked about HARRODS shopping mall. This is Knightsbridge place, really expensive area. Royal Albert Hall is just up the street (will take more pictures if I walk further the next time)....

1st Snowing day

I know I know... the picture is not very clear but this was the 1st moment where it just started snowing. Can't really see very clearly, but if you were to pay more attention to the roof then you can actually see the specks falling from the sky :)

Covenant

.... from the few minutes this sky had turned grey...I was praying and asking God for somethings (it's between me the Father in Heaven)...and I saw this beautiful "rainbow". I dashed to the room and got my handy camera... I really thank God...It was just a beautfiul covenant with my Heavenly Father.

Now you see it ...

I was overjoyed when I captured this beautiful day... really but a smile on my face... but that didnt last long :(

Favourite Bunch

This was my farewell gift. It was a surprise bunch sent to my Penang home...just so you know, white easter lilies are my favourite flower and it just went so well with the white rose...

Tulips

"micflowers" - lots of people wonder why I chose this trademark name of mine ... well "mic" is michelle for short and "flowers" use to be my clown name while I was working with children many years ago...would like to be able to do clowning again. The tulips are beautiful and it's in abundance here...

Sarah Lee

I know its dark, but cant deny that fact that my sister is good looking... muaks... smart gal and we love Japanese food.

Old bus... buzzing

This thing is like dinosaur...still can see them in Central London and people will just wander on the streets just to capture one of these...not to mention I did that too :)

Grand MaMa

This is my grand mama, wonderful lady and LOVE her so so much. She is born in 1915. The most talented woman I have ever met and known. Miss her...

Mom's green hands

My mom's pride and joy...she is so so talented. I definitely do not have the green hands...

I just like this picture

Would to share with you another favourite picture of mine... this is a porsh shopping area...very near to Knightsbridge (where Harrods is).

Colleagues turn friends

This bunch is more than just colleagues...there are friends! Thank God for friends :)

Michelle in Chinese

Just so you know...this chinese character is the word for snow. The name "Michelle" translated into chinese means beautiful snow (pronounce as mei shuei).

White winter

It's been snowing today. It's just awesome to be able to witness that beautiful sight. Just can't help but to thank God for His wonderful creation. It's just amazing...it's just droplets of water, transformed into flakes, crystal. I can just stare at it for hours (from inside the house, of course). I have a great idea, perhaps I should put some beans, syrups, fruits, peanuts and corn then just open my mouth for few minutes to gather enough snow to make my very own ICE KACANG !

Loneliness

BE STILL AND KNOW THAT HE IS GOD. When you are lonely, too much stillness is exactly the thing that seems to be laying waste your soul. Use that stillness to quiet your heart before God. Get to know Him. If He is God, He is still in charge.
REMEMBER YOU ARE NOT ALONE. "The Lord, He it is that doth go with thee. He will not fail thee nether forsake thee. Be strong and of good courage." (Deut 31:8) Jesus promiesd His disciples, "Lo, I am with you always." (Matt 28:20) Never mind if you cannot feel His presence. He is there, never for one moment forgetting you.
GIVE THANKS. In times of my greatest loneliness I have been lifted up by the promise of II Corinthians 4:17,18, "For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, because we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen." This is something to thank God for. This loneliness itself, which seems a weight, will be far outweighed by glory.
REFUSE SELF-PITY. Refuse it absolutely. It is a deadly thing with power to destroy you. Turn your thoughts to Christ who has already carried your griefs and sorrows.
ACCEPT YOUR LONELINESS. It is one stage, and only one stage, on a journey that brings you to God. It will not always last.
OFFER UP YOUR LONELINESS TO GOD. As the little boy offered to Jesus his five loaves and two fishes. God can transform it for the good of others.
DO SOMETHING FOR SOMEBODY ELSE. No matter who or where you are, there is something you can do, somebody who needs you. Pray that you may be an instrument of God's peace, that where is loneliness you may bring joy.

Chapel by night

I was just trying to sneak in... hmmmm

Feel like a princess walking in :)
